Teledermatology to help health care professionals
At the end of 2016, Club dermaweb – a reference site dedicated to exclusive information for health care professionals, designed by Pierre Fabre Dermo-Cosmetics – provided its members with a new free mobile app: Skindiag.
This mobile teledermatology app, exclusively for health care professionals who are members of Club dermaweb, optimizes the treatment and advice that the patient is given and provides diagnostic and therapeutic assistance in 48 hours.
The user can receive a hospital-based expert’s opinion depending on their continent: Prof. Moussa Diallo from Le Dantec University Hospital in Dakar (Senegal) for Africa and Prof. Nicolas Meyer from Larrey Hospital and Oncopole in Toulouse (France) for Europe and the rest of the world.
They can also discuss cases with peers (more than 25,000 health care professionals) and consult cases archived by category for educational purposes.
An innovation that has already won several awards
Skindiag won a Merit Award at the 2016 Digital Health Awards and was awarded Bronze in the “Medical Pathology Communication” category at the 2016 Festival de la Communication Santé (Health Communication Festival). To date, the app has been downloaded almost 900 times
